The Bardo Museum

On the 4th, I went with Jeremy to the Bardo Museum. It's the world's largest collection of Roman Mosaics, and also has some Punic art (i.e.: Carthage), and Islamic Art. The Museum itself is a 13th Century Hafside palace, and was once home to the Bey. It has spectacular architecture, including intricately carved ceilings and decorations. The trickiest part was beating the tour groups. The Bardo is the big museum stop in Tunis, and therefore is chock-full of herded tour groups. I heard Italian, French, Russian and German. The most obnoxious part was the blatant disregard for the whole "no flash" rule. I grimaced every time I saw one - which was about once every five seconds.

Despite that, the museum itself was gorgeous, and a necessary stop if you're going through Tunis. I'd reccomend reading up a bit before, because a lot of the mosaics are incredibly detailed, and if you want to get all of the symbolism, it helps to have a little background.
